Soil Hydra

₹1250

The Soil Hydra (Moisture Sensor) not only delivers real-time and precise soil moisture data but also revolutionizes moisture control for optimized irrigation and resource management. It is easy to install and use. It also eliminates sensor swapping due to corrosion .

Benefits and Advantages:
  • Affordable
  • Long-life & durable
  • Soil moisture conte nt
  • Ceramic sensors (anti corrosion)

Soil moisture is the amount of water present in the soil, which can be measured using a
soil moisture sensor that employs either resistive or capacitive sensing. Here, we focus on
the Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor revision-3. This sensor measures the volumetric
content of water inside the soil and provides the moisture level as output.
This capacitive soil moisture sensor measures soil moisture levels by detecting changes in
the potential difference across probes, rather than resistive sensing like other sensors on
the market. Made of corrosion-resistant glass material, it boasts a service life of over five
years. Insert it into the soil around your plants to monitor real-time soil moisture data. It
includes an onboard voltage regulator, giving it an operating voltage range of 3.3 ~ 5.5V,
making it perfect for low-voltage microcontrollers with both 3.3V and 5V power supplies.
This analog capacitive soil moisture sensor converts capacitance changes, based on soil
water content, into voltage levels (from 2.0V to 1.2V minimum for 3.3V). The corrosion resistant material extends the sensor’s service life, and its electronics are fully sealed and waterproof, allowing it to be buried in soil for years.
